Training Quest - a new game mode
Training Quest is a new game mode that gives you the opportunity to improve your skills
in any quest and at any stage without spending items. This mode completely duplicates all
quests, but you will not receive experience for this game, you will not get items, and
your result will not affect Quest statistics. You can start any quest regardless of your
character's level, which is required in the regular Quest mode.
You can easily get to any stage of the game - to skip a stage you are not interested
in, just die, and the game will automatically transfer you to the next stage.
If you have any questions about starting Training Quest, check the MonsterBook in the game
(it has detailed instructions).
Development of new quest scenarios
Boss scenarios
We've significantly expanded the original quest lines:
- Added bosses for low-level players, easily obtaining sacrificial items early in the game.
- Added QL2 (quest level 2) bosses of increased difficulty, which can be summoned using some
items previously obtained as trophies (swords, axes, tails, etc.) and some new items.
- Added QL3 bosses of even greater difficulty, which can be summoned using trophies from
former final bosses and some new items from QL2 bosses.
- Added a QL4 boss Scrider - a super final boss.
- Palmpow World has been created as a separate questline - all original Palmpows are available
in it (they also launch in the original locations) and there is a continuation of the line.
- Added a very easy boss, Fanny Palmpow, for a quick hunt of sacrificial items. This boss is
ideal for very beginner players. Higher-level players have a good chance of receiving a
secret item from this boss to summon the next boss.
All the original quests remain unchanged, but there are some minor changes to the
drop table for some NPCs:
- FGK participates in the distribution of items for the Bravery set (see the
Equipment section).
- Ex-final bosses (those that were final in the original game) drop a level 73 scroll
instead of page 65 to continue the questline.
For more complete information on the required sacrificial items, required player level, drop
table, and experience rewards for victory, see the Monster Book.
New Page Scenarios
The original QL 2-5 pages (Torn Pages 13, 25, 41, 65) are available in the game without changes.
For new locations QL 2-5 pages have also been developed.
In addition 5 new difficulty levels (QL 6-10) have been developed for standard scenarios:
73, 80, 86, 91, 95, to ensure players of all skill levels can find a challenge. To start the
game, you will need a Forgotten Scroll, which can be obtained by defeating one of the added
higher-difficulty bosses.
The original pages retain the standard loot for all NPCs (except for Pouches of gold, see
below) without changing the proportions, but there are some minor additions to the drop table
for high lvl NPCs. Besides their usual drops, you have a small chance to receive the QL2 boss
summoning items (which also drop from low-level bosses):
- Aneramons and Superions drop Necromancer Skulls;
- Red Lizards drop Omnipotence Rings.
At higher page levels (Forgotten Scrolls), new, more dangerous NPC types have been added,
dropping rarer items to summon QL2 bosses and even QL3 bosses (at even higher page levels).
Palmpow World pages drop Torn Pages, Forgotten Scrolls, as well as sacrificial items to
summon Palmpow bosses.
The amount of experience gained from pages and scrolls can be viewed in the in-game
MonsterBook.
We are continuing to develop new quest-lines, and many more quests are planned.
Updates regarding sacrificial items and their distribution
- Pouch of Gold - new Quest drop.
Due to the large number of new quest scenarios, we had to introduce many additional
sacrificial items. This, in turn, made it difficult to remember which items were used to
summon a boss and which weren't. Furthermore, the list of items became very long.
Therefore, we decided to replace all useless items with pouches of gold. These pouches
can only be used for selling.
- All other items are needed to summon bosses.
- If a player in the team has (at the quest's start) 99 sacrificial items of a
certain type, then during the quest, the game will search for a team member with fewer
than 99 of these items and transfer all items of that type to them.
Updates to equipable quest drops and their distribution
Item Distribution Among Players
- You no longer need to constantly sell duplicate items - the game will automatically sell
them and send you a bounty (this applies to all cases where the item has no time limit).
- If part of the team already has an item, the game will give it to the team member who
doesn't already have it.
- If everyone on the team already has an item, the game will randomly select a recipient
for the bounty (or the item, if it has a time limit).
Drops from the Original Quest
- Armor and weapons now have a lower required level (for item usefulness).
- Armor and weapons now have no time limit.
Drops from New Quest Scenarios
- Armor and weapons now have a lower required level - meaning the item you receive will be
useful for approximately 10-15 levels or even more in the case of armor (compared to items
you can buy in the in-game shop).
- Added weapons for players of different levels. To obtain weapons of your level in a
timely manner, think ahead about what you're looking for - leveling up in the game is
significantly faster than in the original.
- Sets with various bonuses have been added.
- Many classic avatars and some avatars with bonuses have been added.
- And much more.
For a more detailed information on sets and avatars from quests, see the
Equipment section. For
information on which quests you can grind for the item you're looking for, see the Monster
Book section.
